YOUR BRANCH – HOW IT ALL WORKS

A branch is a sub-grouping of the constituency Labour Party, usually made up of membership from one or a number of wards. Every member can attend the branch meeting and the constituency meeting.

A lot of Labour Party activity takes place at branch level. Labour members can take part in choosing local council candidates and organise local campaigning. Some are grouped together to ensure that meetings are well attended and local groups can campaign together.

Branch officers are elected annually from the local members to help run the local branch.
